A few of the projects I'm most proud of are listed here.
There are more (mostly smaller) projects on GitHub,
but a lot of the larger projects I've worked on are still under NDA.
Terrain Relative Nav
I helped Astrobotic
implement a Terrain Relative Navigation algorithm to improve
Lunar landing accuracy from kilometers to meters. I wrote much of the flight application, middleware, and hardware-in-the-loop test
methods for the flight sensor.
Enhanced Radio
From 2014 to 2021 I was HW and
SW lead on a variety of amateur and ISM radio projects. I designed the
HamShield
and Edison Explorer block, and wrote
demo firmware for them. The company is defunct, but
our designs are still open source.
GMD
I offered embedded electronics and firmware
consulting through my company Good Measure Design. This work ranged from quantified self devices to
satellite tracking algorithms.
Activity Recognition
My Master's Thesis (pdf) on identifying and
tracking trans-tibial prosthesis use via inertial sensing. I used classical (non-deep) machine-learning to classify
activities, which allows prosthetists to better understand fit and function of the prosthesis.
